SALOMON APPAREL
Creative Direction Assistant
Freelance, August 2023
> Context
After my experience in footwear at Salomon Sportstyle, I had the opportunity to repeat the experience, as a freelancer, this time in apparel as a Creative Direction Assistant, alongside Anjhe Marcus, Creative Director of Salomon Apparel.
The goal was to create a clear direction for the apparel line by developing an image through looks for each category: Running, Outdoor, and Snow Hike.
The main inspiration came from the first ski binding developed by Monsieur Salomon, the founder of the eponymous brand. This binding drew from the very origins of the company.
Keeping this idea in mind, I created several mood boards around the geometric aspects of this binding, while proposing a new, powerful dynamic that still respected Salomon’s core values and heritage.
Finally, I was able to sketch 7 looks—overall, unisex visions—that initiated the guidelines for the upcoming FW24 clothing collection.
